Guys, I'm typing this dizzy and unbalanced on bed. I have inner and outer tremors. I have this 24/7.

Had IVIG from dr. Novak led to asceptic menigitis in December. From that back of head and ear inflammed deep in. Then balance and other issues.

I'm disabled and puking in bed. ED is no help throw me out go to outpatient.

Was admitted and discharged 3 times too early brigham and misdiagnosed. My medical records and negligent doctors written ne off crazy early on and hurt by care across hospitals.

My menigitis damaged me, was kept in hospital when I was symptomatic and dismissed. Now I have no help.

If anyone knows neuro or anyone in Boston who can help my situation please do

I am not in your area but i have been severely dizzy/spinning with lots of gi issues for 2 solid years. I send you love friend. It is so terrifying and even moreso that the ER's just let us go, even though we cannot function. Although, never hesitate to go back if you think you need to. I am totally bedridden from it and just riding the waves. I do not have alot of answers. You are not alone.

Strange i had a BAD flu prior to all of my severe issues and my ears were full and popping for months and then the s***storm hit of dizzy vertigo land .....sigh.

Man, they have got to figure this stuff out.

Can you try peppermint essential oil? I no longer can use it with mast cell but in the beginning it helped me alot, just smelling it for severe dizziness and nausea.

Really sorry to hear you are suffering with this misery.

I don't have any help to offer but wanted to let you know I am riding this shit storm with you. Been to the ER 11 times in a little over a month, not much help. Sick to my stomach as hell with nothing working.

I go in tomorrow for a picc line install just so I can get IV fluids at my house. My arms are all shot up and bruised.

What are you on the IVIG for?

Here's a mixed list of things from my health notes file of potential remedies for dizziness:
* Ginger - tea, ginger chews, capsules
* Powdered clove sprinkled on food
* Mint - tea, breath mints, inhale mint essential oil
* Deep breathing
* Sniff some rubbing alcohol a few times (don't overdo it!)
* Activated charcoal - for stomach related nausea
* Baking soda - 1/8 - 1/2 tsp in 1/2 glass warm water. Seems to help some chemo patients quickly even when nausea medications don't work.
* Vertigo, from: http://www.herballegacy.com/Relax_Eze.html (see further down the page)
* Dimenhydrinate (gravol, dramamine)

Vertigo and Ménière's disease:
Ménière's disease is a disorder of the inner ear that causes severe dizziness (vertigo), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), hearing loss, and a feeling of fullness or congestion in the ear.

Nausea, acupressure P6 point:
There is an acupressure point on the wrists that can be manually stimulated to help relieve nausea and motion sickness.

Relief Band:
The Relief Band is an electronic device that sends small electrical pulses into the P6 acupressure point so you don't need to manually stimulate it. It has been clinically tested and has FDA approval.

Nausea, mix of reasons, from Crux on PR:
Zofran is an anti-emetic that antagonizes 5HT 3 receptors. If serotonin is stuck in the gut, nausea can result.
B-6 may help to metabolize the serotonin , relieving nausea, if that's the cause.

Increasing gut acid can help nausea. HCl, ACV, etc.

When my cortisol gets low, I get nauseous. I'll take salt tablets to stop the vomit. The chloride is the active ingredient.

Liver trouble can also cause nausea.
