I checked what wiki says about NF-κB: "In addition to roles in mediating cell survival, studies by Mark Mattson and others have shown that NF-κB has diverse functions in the nervous system including roles in plasticity, learning, and memory." It doesn't specifically mention brainfog, but anything that affects brain function is a possibility for ME's mechanism.
