Tomorrow my appointment with the Lyme specialist will have finally arrived.

When I sent my bloods off to Germany in March, they came back positive for Lyme and co infections. And a very low immune system.

I don't know if I "only" have Lyme (I'm pretty much house bound and need a walker to get around the house) or if the Lyme has kicked off ME.

For six years I have been sick and with all the symptoms pointing towards ME we assumed that's what it was.

Hopefully it'll turn out to be a curable Lyme that has done no lasting damage over the six years.

It could take three years of antibiotics but oh my if it worked.

Feeling cautiously hopeful and scared at the same time.

Good luck! It certainly gives you some piece of mind when you start unraveling the mystery and finding the right doctors to work with. The treatment itself, on the other hand, is another story; but I've learned to take it one thing at a time and to be thankful that I've gotten further along than others who are still fighting their way through the "mainstream" medical system. Wishing you the best for your appointment and recovery

Good luck and hope all goes well. I was afflicted with chronic LD in 2005 and after 18 months on Samento I kicked it.
Take it one day at a time and try to stay positive.
The practioner I saw reflected that most LD patients have heavy metal problems as well. Having amalgams removed was a major recovery aspect.
