I'm looking for a specialist for Fibromyalgia, any location will do(skype). I have some GI issues that I haven't been able to clear up on my own and I'm done screwing around with it on my own. Thanks.

If you are comfortable giving your location, people near you might have some good recommendations.
Best,
Sushi
Hi Sushi, well, I didn't want location to be a constraining factor. I'd rather find someone highly regarded and recommended by the community irregardless of location.
I live in Orange County, CA.
I guess the country would be the main question as not many would be willing or able to travel to another country. (I am one of the crazy ones who do!)
Best,
Sushi

Junto- Dr. Chia in Torrance Calif is supposed to be very good. Several people on Health Rising website have been to him and have been pleased. I haven't seen him/.Hi Sushi, well, I didn't want location to be a constraining factor. I'd rather find someone highly regarded and recommended by the community irregardless of location.

I just went to Dr Neil Nathan in Santa Rosa. I was also sick of screwing around.
I found him to be extremely thorough and well worth the visit from Canada.
Awaiting test results now.
I just started seeing Dr. Silverman in Beverly Hills. He used to run Cedars-Sinai's Fibromyalgia center and teaches at UCLA. I've only had one appointment so far but I was very impressed. He was extremely knowledgeable about the issues that come along with fibro such as adrenal issues, depression, IBS, etc. He understood that many fibro people can't take normal doses of meds and said he tends to use vitamins and amino acids - precursors - with his fibro people. My only concern would be that he doesn't treat EBV, HHV6, or CMV. He says everyone over 30 will test with high titers and therefore the lab results don't mean anything. I guess if he fixes my immune system, the immune system will take care of the viruses. I drive (well, have to be driven) an hour each way to see him and feel it will be worth it. BEST OF ALL, he takes insurance!I'm looking for a specialist for Fibromyalgia, any location will do(skype).
