longer (delayed) response to rituximab

Dagfinn Øgreid of Kolibri mentioned that he and others are observing some longer times before seeing a response to rituximab--like 9-10 months. He mentioned that he had a patient that was bedbound for four years and did not respond to rituximab until 20 months and then he was fine--went back to work, etc.

@jaybee00 Do you know if any of the Kolibri patients had IVIG prior to starting Ritux and if so, did those patients have a faster response time?

So maybe the most severe cases do not have irreversible damage? Interesting...

@Ginger--I do not know
@jpcv--maybe not--I think @Marky90 may know of some other moderate/severe cases outside of Haukeland who had very good improvements on rituximab.....
