Lauricidin insomnia cold sore

So I started Lauricidin last Thursday and almost instantly got a cold sore.

and a little bit of insomnia

overall I feel good, seems like I have a little more energy, and this might be what’s causing the slight insomnia

but not sure if the cold sore is a die off type thing, or if it’s because I’m doing a little more and not sleeping as well and my body is getting run down

also just got back the day before I started the Lauricidin from Florida, and it was a 50 degree temperature drop back up in Jersey
So that could also be a cause of the cold sore

but I haven’t had a cold sore in about 5 years prior

I have heard others mention that when they started an herbal anti-viral that they got a cold sore. A member of this group mentioned getting a cold sore after starting L-lysine. Members of other groups I belong to have mentioned the same thing.

Edit to add: I don't think this is a bad thing or sign that you shouldn't continue with the anti-viral.

I am curious...........how much Lauricidin are you taking now and do you plan on increasing dosage?

I started with 1/4 scoop 3 times a day
I usually don’t get much reaction from supplements, so I jumped right up to a full scoop 3 times a day a couple of days later
But because of the trouble sleeping, I started going to 2 full scoops 2x a day yesterday
One at breakfast, one at lunch.

I also have had some cramping, mostly in my feet and a little in my calves
Not like a herxing cramp, but more of a dehydrated feeling
But I’m drinking more water than ever and have never had cramping issues before

@Jjpd - I agree with @MTpockets about the potassium. When my potassium is low I get cramps in my feet, and spasms in my lower legs, which go away pretty quickly when I ingest potassium. I take about 800 mg potassium glycinate daily, in divided doses. A good way to get a quick dose of potassium is to drink a couple of glasses of low-sodium V8 - low-sodium version is higher in potassium than regular V8 - or tomato juice. If low potassium is an issue, people usually feel results within a few hours.
