Yep, nearly all my nails (on both hands and feet) have some sort of abnormal curvature that has developed in the last 5 to 10 years. It's worse on my toenails with several being ingrown and one is a full-on pincer nail. They can be painful and sometimes get infected. They are very tricky to trim and I have to soak my feet for at least 1/2 an hour before trimming my nails.

After my first Cov infection in 2020 I got symmetrical paronychia/ingrown toenails on big toes and also thumbs/fingers without the ingrowing though.

Then it took about a year to get them better with salt baths, tissue/cotton wool under to help them grow out.

Then when I got my 3rd cov infection, it set them off again (2nd didn't), so since Xmas 2023 they've been bad again.

A podiatrist recently told me that they are beyond cosmetic help and will need professional surgery. And that they are basically open wounds that cannot heal.

I've noticed that there is a connection between when theyre worse to my hip pain. So I'm thinking there is a bacterial/immune connection (I also have chronic uti and Lyme) and conversely if I just have a bad spell, the toes get worse and start bleeding more etc.

I started using a UV nail light and it has almost healed one side so I do think there's and infectious element, but it's all so much work keeping on top of.
