Infection-Induced Peroxisome Biogenesis Is a Metabolic Strategy for Herpesvirus Replication

Herpesviruses manipulate peroxisomes, cellular organelles involved in lipid metabolism, to support their replication and spread. Specifically, viruses like human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) induce peroxisome biogenesis, increase plasmalogen synthesis, and alter peroxisome morphology to enhance viral replication.

It's been pointed out that one of the main things to correct for those with ME/CFS is the state of peroxisomes.
Most sources that I've seen advise increasing peroxisome biogenesis with peroxisome proliferator agonists.

But what if one has a latent herpesvirus? This study says herpesviruses upregulate peroxisome production in or to replicate.

This must mean that the herpesvirus is in the cell, and more important, in the part of the cell that produces lipids.

What is one supposed to do if one is deficient in the lipids produced by peroxisomes but has a latent herpesvirus.

I can't find the answer.
