So sad and difficult. I am sorry you have this, @Darran321

If you have tried to explore all possible medical reasons with doctors,
then Mostly I would just rest or try to sleep, until it passes, and apply cold pack, to head, and cool wet cloth to eyes.

And also, I would do less of the activity, or modify it more, the next time, to try to find a level that does not bring that on.
Plan to stop any activity, the moment you notice, it might be too much. To see if you can avoid that or make it shorter or less severe.

You might need to switch to a different type of activity, and start with very little, and then increase by bits, if tolerated.

I would try to learn some way to manage this, and hope that it will change and improve in the future. The illness does vascillate and likely will not always be at that same level for you.

As a runner I recall people discussing exercise-induced migraine, which sounds like what you might have.

With the CFS I usually have some sugar on board when I work out otherwise my body loves to go into anearboic mode and burn up muscle, and the muscle wasting, i.e Rhabdo -- might be rare in regular population but not for people with CFS (https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucel...ppen-when-you-work-out-too-much/#db7781624d22) and I use this product because of the Tumeric and Tumeric is good for migraines (https://www.amazon.com/Vega-Sport-P...id=1532807956&sr=8-3&keywords=vega+sport&th=1) -- I usually have it or another Vega sport drink during exercise, I regret life if I don't - usually.

I also have a recovery protein shake with a lot of L-Glutamine.

I get migraines once a month from hormonal shift and I use GInger. I've gone to the doctor 3 times for migraines and had a script of Oxy at one point they were so bad but actually, yeah GInger works. I start to get one and I'll make a smoothie with a whole thumb of ginger in it. If you hate ginger they also have caps of it from the NOW company.

Not sure if this is helpful in any way, since I don't know your age, gender, activity level, time with the illness, comorbid conditions, current health situation etc. etc. So not trying to armchair ya' and say "DO THIS" -- cause that's really annoying ;-P

But maybe this will give you a direction to look into.

All the best :)

EDIT -- IMPORTANT -- Ginger and Tumeric interact with some medications, blood thinners, blood pressure, heart medication, stuff that can kill. So definitely don't try them out unless you double check first to make sure it won't hurt anything :D ((Hugs)) Don't want to harm anyone.

I feel for you @Darran321 because for four months now behind-eye-pain has been one of my symptoms....with no rational explanation. It's been ruled out so far -as "migraine". But my "head pain" has been very slight, only a sign for me of when I am doing too much. It was every day at one point ....for weeks and weeks, and quite debilitating at first.
Now it is only now and again. It is an ache smilar to that one you get when a thunderstorm is coming.
But I listen to it when it twinges.

In cold weather (the Spring) warmth helped it. I used to put a warm compress of salt water over my eye. In heatwave, cold helped it (go figure that out!) I used to bathe my eyes with cold water. But I believe it was coming from some brain inflammation. In my case it wasn't too bad. But I do understand and feel for you.

It does however, make me suspicious that an enterovirus is at the root of (my own) issues. I have been helped by Echinacea Angustifolia, vitamin B complex -to a certain extent....but had to be careful with dosage, and for me a strong dosage made me feel tons better initially, then a bit worse again, so downgraded the dose. A little exercise was okay for me, but if I did too much I would get that warning of eye twinges.
But it is different for everyone. What helped me may not be useful for you...?
But things are definitely a lot better and looking up. So that could happen for you too.
