gcmaf temperature/delivery

I was not sure where to post this. For everyone who orders Gcmaf overseas.

It was sent out early a.m. on the 13th and I received it on the 17th, 5 days later.
The office said the test it w/ a thermometer (in the flask) to see if it is up to 15 degrees C. (what type of thermometer do I use?, the one i used does not test the air in the flask). But, its cold where I live and was left outside.
They said another one could be shipped if that was the case.
I was curious if this has happened and what you were informed by your physician or supplier on the lose of assay. (any articles read, etc.)

thanks,
lerae

I understand our delivery system is not 100% reliable. I just want to problem solve.

I was not sure where to post this. I know a lot of you who take Gcmaf have ordered from Gcmaf.eu.

It took about three 3 weeks for the entire transaction (everything is now done through bank trnasfer, not paypal or money orders). So
there is extra money involved.

It was sent out early a.m. on the 13th and I just received it today (the 17th late around 11 a.m.), so that is 5 days. I have no idea if it is
still good. The office said the test it w/ a thermometer to see if it is around 5 degrees C. But, its cold where I live and was left outside.
all that traveling, it could have increased in temp. They said another one could be shipped if that was the case.

basically, its a lot of $ to risk taking something that lost its assay. Anyone have any insight on what to do?

newbie to gcmaf
thanks,
lerae

Sticking a thermometer in it would compromise the sterility!

Why is it...

So much of these forums is recycled disinformation.

If you have no idea whether the gcmaf is still good, you could re-read the first item on the left hand side of our website.

Or read "Tests of our GcMAF," 4th item down. Then you would know.

But few bother to read the website. So to recap:

We send GcMAF out in ice in vacuum flasks that are themselves packed again.

There is usually no loss of activity in the first 2 days.

After that the flasks have sometimes warmed to room temperature, so they lose 2 to 3 percent a day thereafter.

So in five days, worst case, it will have lost a theoretical 9%. That means its 91% active.

You need it to be at least 40% active for it to work. So you still have a safety margin of 51%

Most of the world gets delivery inside 2 days, so no loss.

Couriers make blunders in about one package in 30, and if delivery goes over a weekend, and it looks like someone might have lost much more than usual, we sometimes send the GcMAF again without further charge.

Professor Ruggiero kindly did tests on the rate GcMAF activity declines under various conditions. Two of those are under "Tests of our GcMAF" on our website.

How could putting a thermometer inside a flask possibly compromise the sterility of GcMAF?

The GcMAF is in a vial inside a flask. You couldn't possibly get a thermometer through the tiny rubber septum that seals a vial.

That's why you need to ask specialists, not those who guess wildly and wrongly on forums.

The bit that gets me is nearly everyone on a forum is anonymous, and yet some people are quite happy to believe wild guesses from people who conceal their own names.

If you depend on it, not identifying and authenticating the source of your information is downright dangerous.

you may try to check for future orders if any courier in your area can make faster deliveries, but if there are customs involved little can be improved

Mr. Noakes-

I will try and condense this, make it professional and keep it objective/mature.

I did edit my initial post to clarify on your behalf, e.i. the flask vs vial. I apologize to anyone who thought I meant sticking a thermometer in "it" meant
the vial, not the flask. And the temperature your staff referenced me before i received it, was 15 C, not 5 C. I had it converted on my computer into F (59 degrees ), as I wrote 15 C earlier. Everything else is correct. The main point was potency/integrity level, post the 2 day shipping time frame.

I did not know how to measure the temperature of the Air in the flask. Asking people if they have experienced this or have heard if gcmaf looses its potency
is valid. Anyone would, who is spending this money, receiving this break through serum. or maybe they already had the answer.
So many have are spending so their time researching, finding abstracts, web sights, (e.i. where to purchase thermometers), have their physician's knowledge, on
this illness...we are living with day after day. They are amazing people.
So, yes, they are a good group to go to for a lot of info. And they may have healthier/clearer days then others, or better insight.

To clarify on my behalf, I Did email you, as a customer. And I did not hear back. You do know who I am, I am not trying to be anonymous whatsoever.
Thank you for all your information about the assay/potency.
What you are saying, is @ worst (which is theoretical), it could have lost 9%, which is basically nothing. And most likely doubtful. So, I will still continue to get the same benefits. The decision is to keep it and use it, correct? I am completely fine with that. Thank you again!

The delivery delay happens. It is out of your control, just like it was out of my control when I never received the first
order (that UPS kept). Which you graciously reimbursed. The concern was again the temp and integrity.

This question pertained to any supplier, not your company specifically. I felt it was a genuine
question. I am sorry I have not read your entire websight. I would hope I would have, back in my healthier days, being in the
medical field. You have provided a great amount of info.

ME/cfs/lyme is so, so hard. We have extrememly difficult days, depending on herxing, etc. Sometimes we need a summary/cliff notes.
scientific websights can be difficult.

I hope you continue in patience with us-

David, we are here for help`` not your judgement!

David, forums are for discussing, asking questions, and wild guesses as you put it. Not everyone is as smart as you #1, and #2 some are intimidated because it is from Europe and not sure how things are handled. I personally have read the entire website but due to cognitive problems I have to go back time and again. I still ask questions. Give us a break.
And your statement that we are all hiding because we don't use our real names. This is an open forum that anyone can join. I use a username for safety, not to hide. Where you got that thought is beyond me.
Do you even enjoy your job???? Because, the way you talk to all of us and your attitude does not seem like it at all.
If you're tired of the same old questions, from people that are ill and don't understand, want to judge us, telling us how we are so wrong and how you just don't get why we can't read a website and understand everything on it... then maybe you need to work for a different company where you are not in any customer service.
Everything you said had an edge to it as if you were purely disgusted, and it could have been said with an easier tone. Taking your problems out on customers is not right.
Many of us are ill and seeking answers with a pure heart. You talking down to us does not help. Many don't use the internet like maybe you do to research. Some barely have the strength to reach out to this site. We are your customers David. So get real and come down off your high horse.

Can someone tell me if it's possible to prepare individual syringue and freeze them, looks like 8 times 100 ng is a bit too much for most CFS patients to use in 2 months.

Or can it stay in the fridge for 4 to 6 months and still have good potency?

I thaw one vial and then divide the doses into individual insulin syringes, then recap the syringes, freeze them, and thaw them individually as I need them

i did at first and it is not difficult but i am not doing this any more because:

there is potency loss freezing gcmaf (it is little but i prefer to have full potency)

there is some product loss because some remains in the needle and cant be used

since i can receive the vials in 24hrs i keep them at 2-4 for two months and reorder every two months, i also use sterile water bought at pahrmacy which is sold for injections.i draw water from vial first and then gcmaf, this way there will be some water left and lost in the needle and not gcmaf
