A high quality fish oil product is one of my staple supplements. I have a love/hate relationship with it because it gives as much benefits as side effects. The benefits are a clearer mind, less inflammation (it quite effectively inhibits prostaglandin synthesis), smoother feeling skin, less dry eyes, better sleep.
Side effects are exacerbation of orthostatic intolerance, restlessness (the next day, EPA messing with my neurochemistry?), oxidative stress-like symptoms- hair loss, greying hair.

I'm wondering if the side effects may be caused by lipid peroxidation, some sources mention that fish oil on itself quickly oxidizes and is actually inflammatory, just less inflammatory than arachdonic acid.
I've noticed that adding low doses of anti-oxidants ascorbic acid, E (d-alpha tocopherol, gamma tocopherol and tocotrienols) and Q10 lessens the side effects.

What else can be done to prevent lipid peroxidation?
