Hello everybody,
I am raising the following question: Has anybody experienced the same symptoms as I did after starting to take Lamivudine (Epivir)?
According to my antibody levels, I have a chronic Coxsackie B5 infection (IgG 1:320), so I researched and found some very interesting advice here in the forum. As a result, I started to take Lamivudine (Epivir), but some days afterwards, I developed a little cold (sore throar, headache). It has happended two times now, so I'm wondering if the Lamivudine negatively affects the immune system or if my cold symptoms were a sign a recovery (since the immune system was working against Coxsackie B5). Moreover, I found some information that Lamivudine can impede the immune system, even though it helps AIDS patients...
Is there anybody who has made the same experiences? I quit Lamivudine today and my sore throat quickly got better... It's weird...
I would be happy for any response! Thank you very much in advance...
Best wishes
