Dr treating CFS in Hong Kong

I find it very frustrating to find a dr who understands CFS well in Hong Kong. Most doctors are aware of the existence of CFS but they are just all into the CBT/GET thing treatment wise. I guess I'm quite unfortunate to be living in this part of the world where CFS is not widely recognized by the medical industry. Since I don't have any plans to travel to canada or USA for the time being, I think I'll kinda have to somehow find a doc in Hong Kong at least having some knowledge in CFS who will do some related tests for their patients and prescribe them with supplements/meds.

Does anyone know a doc in Hong Kong who knows CFS well and/or have experiences with one of such?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for your reply. Although I'm not sure if i would go and see him, knowing more doctors certainly helps. Has anyone heard of patient experiences with him?

Not sure if anyone has experience with him on this forum....he has treated over 5500 Patients though and he claims he has good results...his treatment from what I read requires relocation unless you could get a Dr to do the treatments in China.

If you are wondering about testing the International Consensus Criteria (ICC) read down the pdf document. See the link and down load the full document "2012 ICC Primer." Read down and it will show tests to rule out other diseases. Then tests that top experts use to treat.

http://www.name-us.org/defintionspages/DefICC.htm

Have you been diagnosed? There is no blood test to confirm ME/CFS. ME/CFS can be dx by ICC, CCC, FUKUDA, CDC, REEVES CRITERIA. There are abnormalities in blood tests used to determine treatment protocols etc.

Canada really doesnt have top ME/CFS Drs. The US does, KDM in Belgium, Dr Myhill Uk...

Hope this helps wish there was a specialist their because I bet you a lot of people are sick with ME/CFS their. Maybe they call it something else their.

General Internists are typically who diagnose it in Canada...possibly a Neutologist or Immunologist could as well.

Let me know if you find a well respected Dr in China.

Good luck, I hope you find answers

I've seen that he treats people with Intravenous Gamma Globulin Therapy, seems quite interesting to me.

I've been diagnosed by a local doctor with CFS, but I'm not sure what criteria he used to diagnose. He did ask thoroughly about my symptoms and send me to do the Acumen test which came back saying that my ATP level was low.

Yes there is a lot of people sick here but I am yet to heard of severe cases. They also recognize it as CFS (of course it is not the case with TCM docs). There are researches done by the Hong Kong University that practising Qigong will improve people's fatigue level but other than that the doctors aren't as knowledgeable towards CFS as the US experts.

I'd surely let you know if I can ever find one here.;)
