I showed someone the genetic genie writeup on my SNP results from 23andme and they said this :

I can't help be notice a couple of medical/scientific errors such as: "BH4 acts as a rate limiting factor for the production of neurotransmitters and catecholamines including serotonin, melatonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. A MTHFR A1298C + status may cause a decrease in any of these neurotransmitters or catecholamines." - Serotonin and melatonin are not catecholamines, they're tryptamines. They're in a completely different class of chemical.
Another error: "MAO-A (Monoamine oxidase A) is a critical enzyme involved in breaking down important neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine." - Dopamine broken down primarily MAO-B, not MAO-A
Can anyone say who is right?
