Desmopressin and Ibuprofen (Advil) together?

I've been prescribed desmopressin by my cardiologist for low bp, POTS and dysautonomia.

Sometimes I use ibuprofen to help with Fibromyalgia pain and PEM from ME / CFS but I read that you aren't supposed to use these drugs together?

Why is this? Do you use them together? Is it a firm hard no or just use with caution? If so, what is the caution to be aware of? Thank you!

Ibuprofen can make desmopressin’s antidiuretic action stronger (leading to water intoxication) or lead to abnormally low sodium in the blood, which can lead to serious side effects (seizures, coma, death). I would just call your doctor and ask their thoughts. Depending on your dosage, they might just tell you its okay to take together as long as you get a blood test every now and then or they might tell you to report to the ER if you experience certain symptoms.
