Ekaterina---I know how hard it is when you are at fork in the road and neither choice looks very good, I am there right now with a failed root canal--but thats another story
I did feel like, back when this all happened, that I was to point where I had to do something, I was getting really bad attacks regularly after eating that were very painful, would put me down for the count, and I had never experienced something so debilitating before, however I was able to still work out at the gym every day and work full time etc but I felt I had to do something, I had even gone to Urgent Care/ER twice because it hurt so bad
So maybe there was no choice and unfortunately then they were doing the full abdominal surgery plus rougher anesthesia....no other choices were discussed and I was obedient then and no internet to research and medical not my background
And I was scared because Andy Warhol had died from complications supposedly from delaying gb surgery, but he had also been shot in the gut years before complicating it
NOw I would most definitely get more opinions and change my diet! back then I was eating popcorn for meals and that would cause attacks and after the surgery I really cleaned up my diet---the 80s were bad influence with diet trends then
Also back then a friend told me he had heard of a way to break up stones (in mainstream medicine) but I didnt look into that---but you don't have stones, which seems like good sign
But could just be the curse of CFS making yr digestion not work well
I wonder if acupuncture might help the pain for you? I got ovarian /uterine cysts right after the surgery, probably from scar tissue--and acupuncture and herbs dried them up--they did ultrasound pre and post acupuncture--I also had to quit drinking coffee and pepsi and those variables helped a lot and saved me another surgery or from having to take hormones which make me nUtS
