I have not had a chance to watch this video in full. It deals with being overweight and blaming the patient. While her condition was very obvious, I think we can also relate.

I can't believe this doctor actually apologized, for his behavior!!

Wish we would see more doctors be so compassionate. I am blessed as I have awesome medical care. Now, as I have been there, done that.:(

I just bought a tablet, not an IPad, as I didn't want nor need all the bells and whistles and it's taking me some time to get used to it. With this DD, it's so hard to multitask.

A doctor...admitting he was wrong. Shame he's an exception to the rule.

It was a very moving talk, it's always nice to hear about doctors and specialist who are willing to change, to admit misconceptions or gaps in their knowledge, to learn new things, but it's even better to hear them spreading that standard.

I found it... interesting being told to quit smoking by a gp who is morbidly obese.

I know obesity is a horrendous problem.

I also think that doctors have a duty of care to their patients to do something about it before it gets out of hand. Stuff "political correctness" about it.

I have a dilemma myself. I have a great-neice who is very overweight for her age. I don't know how to, or even if I should, talk to her mum about it. I couldn't believe how much sweet stuff she is allowed to consume.
