Autoimmune testing

Just got back from the doctor. ANA, ENA etc. were all normal. Wasn't getting my hopes up but part of me was hoping a test would show *something*. Feeling pretty sad and hopeless.

Have you done any of the panels that learner suggested? I did a couple of them and tested positive for some antibodies.

No, no GPs will run further tests since all mine are normal

Damn that sucks. What makes you think autoimmunity could be your issue? I started to suspect it when I noticed me ESR and CRP was always high.

It was just a guess because Crohn's disease runs in my family

Ah, well if it makes you feel any better, a negative test result doesnt rule out autoimmunity.

I thought so; I asked my doctor if you can get false negatives with AI testing and she said no .. I don't know why I bother with doctors lol

Lol I was negative for AChR Binding antibodies for 5 years and just tested positive twice with some of the highest levels my doctors have seen.
