hi there,
I am a male, 32 year old CFS suffered of 4 years. However, I started having osteoarthritis symptoms about 5 years ago. First was my hip which was diagnosed with femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and ended up getting a surgery for it. It is in pretty bad shape and probably will have to be replaced soon. Next came my neck. I started having neck cracks and stiffness and pain that really ruined 4 months of my life and it forced me to stop going to the gym and stop playing the guitar (looking at the chords meant turning my neck in the exact direction which caused cracking and pain). Light weight training in the gym was one of the few things i still could do ( a far cry from my pre-CFS active lifestyle).
So now I have elbow arthritis. Its been 5 months. There is cracking and reduced range of motion and pain. I really am having a hard time using it for anything. So now I have to give up even gentle yoga.
Its interesting that some people descrive inflammation as the root of CFS and anxiety (which I have). And here I am also suffering from another inflammation related problem, i.e., osteoarthritis. I already take curcumin for inflammation (started recently as per the recommendation of one of the users here). Also I am going to start glucosamine. But these probably will have minimal impact and merely slow that the progression.
Does anyone have any suggestions ? this incapacitating arthritis in all these joints is probably worse than the fatigue.
thank you for reading.
