absent/diminished patellar reflex

Is there any literature on reflexes in ME, specifically on whether they are diminished?

Does anyone have any anecdotal info on this?

I have no idea if there is any literature on this,
but if you are looking for anecdotes I have extremely diminished knee reflexes.

Generally takes doctors quite a few whacks to finally get a tiny movement. They always look puzzled but then it never gets mentioned again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same here. In my case I have significant structural issues that respond to cranial osteopathy.

Yes! That has been exactly our experience as well.

Weird...the one doc who bothered to do that test on me was shocked at the OVER-reaction. At the slightest tap my leg FLEW. This was early on in the illness. He asked if that was typical for me (it wasn't). More head-scratching and shrugs.

An infectious disease specialist couldn't find my patellar reflex fairly early on in the illness. She tried repeatedly. (I tried later at home and I could sometimes get a response but it was weak.)

It was on that basis I think that she referred me to a neurologist. By the time I got to see the neurologist some months later, the patellar reflex was fine and he assumed it was just that the referring doctor was incompetent.

So, I don't know what the story was there. But interesting to see that others have had something similar happen.

I saw a great explanation in a Dr Grubbs video. This is more related to OI than ME. He says that actually the first sign to see OI is abnormal pupil dilation. Way before the patient even have any symptoms.
Mine reflex were exaggerated (I have high sympathetic activation). POTs.
Ok now on OI meds (midodrine+florinef).
I also get a lot of brain dysfucntion when crashing like drop everything from my left hand, depth perception issues....
