I didn't know Jennifer Frey, but I knew her work well. She was a star in the Post newsroom (before I got there) and in 2001 she wrote an important profile of Laura Hillenbrand in the newspaper. Today I'm seeing a lot of comments from Posties that Frey's Hillebrand story opened their eyes to how serious "CFS" can be. The obituary is ambiguous regarding cause of death, but that's not uncommon for an obituary.

Frey's Hillenbrand profile - if I ever teach young journalists how to write profiles, this would be a shining example I'd make them read. (For some reason, the Post is linking to the LA Times version of the story.)
