Virus - New Strain of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease

A new strain of the viral illness "Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease" has been found in California and at least four other states. Here is an article from the San Francisco Chronicle about this new viral strain.

This is another of the coxsackie A viruses. I think they aren't a big issue for us (relatively speaking). It's the coxsackie B viruses that seem to be the players for us. Still, anything new to be exposed to isn't good news.
