In the end of 2012 the norwegian government denied further economic support of research into biomedical cause of cfs via Fluge and Mella at Haukeland hospital in norway.

To my knowledge, their study published in 2011 had results of which there havent been anything similar in cfs research ever in terms of efficacy of a medicine.

Fluge and Mella are two oncologists never interested or background from cfs but got interested after one of their cancer patients reported dramatic improvement in cfs symptoms. while receiving Rituximab for cancer.

Their largest study was done with about 30 patients and 2/3 responded positively.
Results have been promising, but patients need to take the medicine for maintenenance treatment, anyways the results are so interesting they point to a central mechanism in the B cells and auto immunity as a central part.

These two doctors, heavily warned about getting involved with cfs want to start bigger multicenter study and are in dire need of money now !!!

It is of vital importance that patients, caregivers and all interested in cfs can contribute with whatever amount to help push things forward. We must create change ourselves!

All money given to meandyoufoundation will go directly to Fluge and Mella at Haukeland to fund a new study, currently around 1. 250 000 us dollars are needed.
