Anyone familiar with the ins and outs of Testosterone Testing? As far as ref ranges, accurate tests, when to know your doctor is misguided, etc?

Hope it helps :)

PS I found what they say about testing internationally interesting, and even labs in the US, stick to the same lab to compare apples to apples!

For me I found when testing testosterone that saliva seemed inaccurate compared to blood test. Going by saliva I had the testosterone levels of a Bulgarian weightlifter ie way above normal range and I didn't feel like that. Blood tests showed my total testosterone in the low normal and free T was well below normal range. Further tests showed similar results.
