The above link is an overview of the study regarding Carvacrol & Nootkatone use as a suppressant for ticks.

[Carvacrol] is in oregano oil.

[Nootkatone] is in grapefruit extract.

Both of which are used in natural remedies to battle lyme disease as well. Does anybody find that odd? Is it really killing the bacteria in the host tick which in turn kills the host?

[Acetylcholinesterase] inhibition by nootkatone and carvacrol in arthropods.

Is there a connection to AChE gene mutations and people susceptible to lyme ?
