International ME/CFS and FM Awareness Day Is On May 12, 2018
Thomas Hennessy, Jr., selected May 12th to be our international awareness day back in 1992. He knew that May 12th had also been the birthday of Florence Nightingale. She was the English army nurse who helped to found the Red Cross as well as the first school of nursing in the world.

An ME essay by me (Rivka @RivkaTweets) was recently published in three publications:

    1) ProHealth
"Celebrating a Massachusetts State Proclamation for ME Awareness"

    2) A health industry website (!!!)
“Recognizing the enormity of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis"

    3) A New England literary website
“Mass. recognizes Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome"

Here is the start of the essay...
"Frustrated with the lack of movement on the national level to help the up to 2.5 million people in the United States with the devastating neuro-immune disease ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or ME/CFS, many advocates are focusing more on the local and state level."

Congratulations, especially on the health industry website!

ETA: Now that I have read the article, Congratulations on all that you (and the people with you) accomplished with your state legislature!:thumbsup:
