Dear PR Forum Members,
I am an independent Researcher and i've been using for the past 5 years advanced analytical techniques (Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Network Analysis) to identify the origin of ME/CFS and several other syndromes such as Post-Finasteride Syndrome, Post-Accutane Syndrome, Gulf War Ilness Syndrome and more.
The latest results from these techniques hypothesize as cause of ME/CFS a disruption of enterohepatic function (Liver, Gallbladder, Gut) and along specific problems in certain biological Pathways, the body falls into a vicious cycle of Oxidative Stress, Autoimmunity and Inflammatory Processes.
It is further hypothesized that the disruption of enterohepatic function can be attributed to a number of causes (e.g Viral Infections) but also to impaired functioning of the Liver due to states such as Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Hepatitis, Viral Infections, Holecystectomy (Gallbladder Removal), Gallbladder stones, Hemochromatosis, WIlson's Disease and more. Non-optimal Liver function may disrupt proper Bile Acid Metabolism which in turn disrupts the Gut Microbiome.
It is also hypothesized that a disrupted Gut Microbiome may be also negatively affecting Liver function even further, ending up once again in a vicious cycle.
This 5-year Research will be presented at members of the EUROMENE Network (European Network on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) : http://www.euromene.eu/ in September 13th 2018 in London and my goal is to have Researchers also pay attention to Liver function as well as the Gut.
Some key points about this survey :
a) It is completely anonymous and takes less than 2 minutes to complete
b) The results will not be published but will be shown as part of the presentation
c) I receive is no compensation of any kind associated with this effort.
d) The results will be shared with PR Members in September 20th, 2018 and with members of FB Groups relevant to ME/CFS
