Protein powders before amino acid testing / Nutreval / OAT?

A practitioner once told me to use a protein powder for at least a week before running a urine amino acids test, I'm assuming this could also effect markers like FiGLU on the Nutreval. Has anyone come across this before? Makes me wonder if low aminos could effect other markers on these organic acid tests.

I seem to remember someone posting an article that showed histidine loading was necessary to properly assess FiGLU but can't find it.
