I was looking for any way to test for intestinal microvascular ischemia and CEUS (Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound) came up.
Looking at its applications suggests that it could be a test used to to pick up any abnormal muscle microvasculature responses in those with ME/CFS. Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography: advance and current status in abdominal imaging A new method to study changes in microvascular blood volume in muscle and adipose tissue: real-time imaging in humans and rat Abnormal skeletal muscle capillary recruitment during exercise in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and microvascular complications (Difinity microbubbles) Development of a new Sonovue™ contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (Sonovue microbubbles)
