Like Mary, I regained my tolerance to alcohol after doing a liver detox several years ago. I used herbal teas, then herbal pills. I felt fine the next day. If I felt bad after that, I would have blamed it on PEM from the event which I had attended.

I have not had occasion to drink since, but I had high liver enzymes a couple of years ago. After treatment they returned to normal. I have been using the detox teas from time to time since.

Anyone know why I get so so much better with alcohol?
Like 90% painless?
I also can tolerate huge amounts of alcohol.
And also make my bowel movments work better the other day.

I have fibromyalgia along with allodynia btw.

"Good" beer is good for me, it is the only thing that will relax me, without knocking me out. My version of Valium. ;)
