Another episode of futility

I had my appointment with the so called Pain Specialist today. It wasted my time and caused my husband to miss two hours of work which he will have to make up later. This doctor basically told me that according to my MRI, my spine is in pretty good shape. I asked why then had my Rheumy told me that my spine was in as bad a condition as that of an 80 year old? According the most recent Dexa scan, I have suffered some bone loss because of heavy dosing with steroids when I had repeated episodes of Uveitis. So basically what he is saying is that if it doesn't show up on some kind of diagnostic test, that my pain is not real. I explained how it had worsened over the last six months, how limited my activities have become, and it meant nothing. He didn't even offer to do injections which I was going to turn down anyway. So I am back at the beginning again, with no one willing to look deeper into this and help me in any way.

I have been looking into alternative remedies, such as CBD oil, Wild lettuce sap, California red poppy and Blue Lily flowers. If anyone is familiar with any of these and found them to be helpful, I would appreciate their feedback!

Have you ever tried a TENS unit? I used one a few years ago and it seemed to help for my chronic shoulder/back pain (at least while I was using it).

Yes, I do have a tens unit. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do much even though it feels nice at first. When my pain first began, I used it quite a bit and it did help, but now I seem to have gotten worse.:(
