My HGB, HCT, and RBC were all low. Do I need to get my iron tested before I start supplementing with it? So far, I've been taking Spirulina partially because it's high in iron (and also chromium). I think I get around 20 mg of iron from spirulina. Are there any advantages to taking an iron supplement rather than spirulina? I've been having problems with shortness of breath and I'm wondering if it's from anemia so I want to do something. I've also started supplementing with B12 as part of a methylation protocol.
