    That's really interesting. Alphatoxin appears to be an important S. aureus virulence factor http://jem.rupress.org/content/205/2/287.long. This evidence may help narrow down what S. aureus is producing that leads to host CFS/fibromyalgia symptoms.

    If being a Staphylococcus aureus nasal carrier is a contributing factor to CFS, keep in mind that there are alternative (and more readily available) treatments available. Ask your doctor to check for Staph colonization, and see what the doctor recommends or prescribes if you test positive.
