Hi, I have been a member for some time but apart from quizzing Freddd on his B12 protocol a couple of times I have never really posted much on here. The reason for this is that I am not sure whether I belong here. I see people with severe problems all the time on Phoenix Rising and I am thankful that mine aren't as severe. But, there is definitely something very wrong with me and my doctor has no answers (I'm in Ireland, so anyone from here could probably empathise about how hard it is to get a doctor to take you at all seriously)
A few years ago, I had all the symptoms of CFS and it turned out to be a severe Vitamin B12 deficiency. I went on injections for years but it only served to make me functional, not well. I went online to find out could i do anything at all to fix it and descovered this amazing fourum and the Active B12 Protocol.
Long story short and over a year later, I was very well for a while on it, made the rookie mistake of cutting way back on the supplements and had a terrible health crash. Depression, fatigue and general feeling awful. Then i started getting colds - colds bad enough to keep me in bed, every couple of weeks.
I am back on the protocol now for a month, and i am sleeping through the night for the first time in about 6 months but i still keep getting this 'cold' for the want of a better word. it involves a sore throat (blisters on my uvula), sore ears, morning fatigue, muscle weakness and wobbly legs, night sweats, feeling like my throat is a bit swollen (its not!) headaches and aching teeth and just a general feeling of malaise. its happening every 2-3 weeks and i'm sick for a week or so.
I am sorry that I am taking up space here when there are people way sicker than me, but I am worried at this happening continuously and a bit frightened that I will end up even sicker than i am. Does anyone have any ideas? I had thought maybe it could have been something to do with my adrenals or possibly glandular fever (i have been spending time with a friend who has gf and didn't know for a month or so, sharing cups etc)
