I am not saying u cannot be BH4 deficient for other reasons but it can certainly be due to genes. In fact for me it IS. I have 3 genes that cause BH4 depletion, and I had BH4 depletion,

Can someone here document:

1) What are the SNPs that are associated with BH4 depletion or lower activity?

2) What metabolites do we measure to establish our BH4 status?

Hi!
don't know if somebody already asked: (maybe a stupid question):
can large daily doses of Adenosylcobalamin cause BH4 deficiency?
about 3-4000 mcg.

My guess:

AdenoB12 can increase Succinyl-CoA. BCAA and threonin is used up in this process.
Succinyl-CoA will be converted to succinate and in this process GTP is formed. GTP is needed to for BH4.
So beside AdenoB12 you also need biotin,B5,magnesium, amino acids and fatty acids.
Maybe some of the co-factors were depleted and now you cant make enough GTP -> BH4

Just saw your post is 1 year old, so a little late I guess
