I burst out laughing at this comment.God, I hope he doesn't do CBT and get better.
Not to worry, a local band of ME militants could then storm the hospital to rescue himGod, I hope he doesn't do CBT and get better.
Things that make linguists cringe."Standard American first, followed up with the British dialect" - did she say "British dialect"? British is a "dialect" of "Standard American"?
I've never said "dawg" or "coffeh".

Ex-Wife said:Chronic fatigue syndrome is not a disease, it is a set of symptoms for which no cause can be found.
Ex-Wife said:You can help me, by telling my ex-husband that he is not suffering from a non existant illness which has been invented by the medical extablishment to cover their collective behinds.
Doctor said:...I will tell you that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a recognised neurological disorder.
Ex-Wife said:By endorsing this fiction you are creating an army of helpless victims and you are robbing them of the means to their own recovery.
Doctor said:...But treating people with CFS as if they're somehow not trying hard enough, is wrong.
I like the way that they put the BPS bullshit in the mouth of an unbearably annoying woman, who everyone else, ie patient, patient's daughter/carer, patient's doctor, just ignored until she got more sensible. That's the way it should be, and now 2 million viewers have been shown the correct response to such nonsense.By endorsing this fiction you are creating an army of helpless victims and you are robbing them of the means to their own recovery.
Great idea. The BBC love to get feedback. And I strongly believe we should put as much energy into positive reinforcement as we do into complaining.I haven't looked yet but, is there any way to give the BBC some positive feedback? Let them know that the 'vocal few' think they've actually got it right this time?
I love the bat along with "That is quite expensive."How to Speak Norn Iron (Northern Ireland?)
Warning: lots of F-bombs here:
ETA: My ancestors were Irish, so I can have all the laughs that I want.
I'm glad you enjoyed some of the expressions.I'm adding "Give my head peace" and "Don't talk ballix" to my repetoire. Is that bollocks, in Norn Iron btw? Or is it an entirely different word?
