@Gingergrrl - Your post in response to me was spot on. We both have experience working within the mental health/social services system in the US and so I can see how our perspective/analysis of the situation matches. Issues don't get political attention unless they reach a point of political crisis. ME falls through the cracks because of the nature of the illness. And, it is very difficult for the public to be outraged about the condition of people when we are trivialized by the name "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome." It literally opens the door for mockery.
