Thanks, @cloudcuckoo, but as I said earlier, I'm not looking for patients' theories, but am interested in whether researchers feel there is convergence among themselves and if so, on what.

I would not be surprised in something significant comes out of Norway soon. The Norwegians looks if they may have realised that they may beat the rest of the world at this illness and they have a system that allows large amounts of funds to be channelled into very focused research.

You wrote the above over seven months ago. Can you provide any update on this? Do you think we will hear anything on this in 2017?
