Thank you, Wayne, for bumping up this thread! I loved reading through it again, and remembering the trust and good communication we had in this forum. Are we all still alive and experiencing ME? I am—answering for myself. I won’t go into symptoms and medical stuff here, but keep to our theme of the spiritual contact and reassurance we might experience with special bird sightings. I have not seen a white hawk but have had a long life of loving birds and feeling somehow akin to them. My first memories in life were of seeing and hearing birds. Of course I had people in my environment but it was the birds who penetrated directly to my heart and soul. Anyway, Hi Wayne, after all these years!

Your wife was so fortunate, Wayne! It's lovely to see something so uncommon.

Recently, I was brushing my teeth one morning and had the bathroom door open. I saw something move in the corner of my eye, and it was a golden eagle, a very rare sighting in Austin. The golden eagle is one of the largest eagles in North America. It was just enormous, especially compared to the little birds we have around here.

Wish I could have gotten a picture, but it was there for just a few moments before leaving on important eagle business.

Stunning photo of the hawk, Wayne. Yes, I know the North American Indians strongly believed in all of nature. It makes for interesting reading and many of us are nature lovers.....I think the peace of it is a human need.

When I used to visit our daughter just outside of San Francisco I found myself fascinated by watching herds of animals moving in the valley below and the eagles and hawks that would fly so close to the house that it would frighten me, a bird lover. I have never seen a white hawk though, so thanks for the photo.

I do miss the peace that nature used to give me, but one enjoys what one can in life. Yes, Wolf, I have things tended to medically for the sake of my husband. We've been married for almost 58 years. It seems that we met yesterday! (And yes, we argue, but realize that time is short and quickly forgive and forget.)

I would consider a white hawk sighting a very good omen, indeed. Be well everyone. Yours, Lenora
