Thanks for the question
@Tuha and the offer to find more voters.
The number of votes is only part (20% from memory) of the judging criteria - probably partly because it is relatively easy to 'game the system' and artificially inflate votes.
So, I think if we are in the top 5 organisations in terms of votes by the end of February, we will be well placed to win the $50,000 overall prize. All of the front runners other than us (Blue Ribbon) are animal charities and so we have a big point of difference. Each time some news comes out about evidence for ME/CFS being a physical disease, that increases the chance that a judge will be convinced of the need for more doctors to understand it.
We are currently in 5th place. However our daily voting is only around 200 votes per day and the organisation in 6th place is gaining on us.
I think we do need to increase our voting to remain in with a good chance.
It would be good to hear from Ryan i.e. is this still something he wants to do? Is he actively promoting it?
There are 6 categories in the competition with each participant in only one of the categories. Each category winner gets $5000. Our category is Leadership. Unfortunately our category has one of the strongest organisations in it in terms of voting - the Woodlands Wildlife Refuge charity (shown in green on my previous graphs). They are in 4th place.
