46,221 too ?!? :p

45708 :cool::sluggish: + :nerd::sluggish: = the destruction of :ninja::sluggish:.... although they have engaged the :fish::fish::fish: on their side so it is still unclear who will prevail...

Luckily, being a nerd, :nerd::sluggish: remembers a computer game from 1983. Maybe if he can lure the :fish::fish::fish: into the game, they will find themselves trapped by their nemesis!

Moving Toilets! That kill !!!

Good work :nerd::sluggish:!

But how to lure the :fish::fish::fish:?

Maybe :cool::sluggish: has an idea?

:nervous: ...

@Luther Blissett Which 80's game had moving toilets that kill?!!! Wait, I just noticed it says "Eugene's Lair" at the bottom so that must be the game? I played a lot of arcade games in the 80's as a kid but never saw that one! I would think luring the piranhas into the toilet is a good strategy. Did you play Pacman, Frogger, Centipede, or Dig Dug in the 80's? Maybe Centipede was really the Nerdy Nematode?

Eugene's Lair is a level in the ZX Spectrum game 'Manic Miner' :D

I would never have been allowed in an arcade to play a game :p . I remember a educational game that had a centipede who was being chased and he had to find the right numbered door to escape. I can't find any mention of it online :(. But it was probably a geeky, slow version of centipede for parents to try to get their children to play.

Anyway, here's a run through of Eugene's Lair! Eugene, the toilets, and the plants kill by touch. :nervous:

I have absolutely no idea what that means but it sounds good LOL ;).

When I was around 12 or 13 yrs old, we all went to the arcades and played the old-school ancient games but I've never played them on TV (like the PS4 games that my husband is obsessed with now).

how the votes for this entry compare to others in the competition?

First place: Devoted Barn with 447, 679 votes (in the Devotion category)
Other category leaders and other charities with high numbers of votes: as below

all comp 3 Oct.png

We are Blue Ribbon - in the blue. Our category is Leadership. There are six categories.

For new voters:
the number of votes is just one of several judging criteria. If we can remain in the 3rd to 5th placed group, then we will be well positioned to get the $50,000 overall prize.

(I haven't checked all the other entries lately. It is possible that one of the entrants that had a low number of votes previously has had a voting frenzy lately and has overtaken a category leader. )
