Does anyone know if it is possible to get a cytokine panel done either on the NHS or privately in the UK?

@vaer Thanks :) Do you know if NHS doctors/specialists take any notice of the results of these types of tests from "outside" labs? I was hoping it could be done by a "conventional" doctor or specialist if they agreed it might tell them something useful about the immune system.

Some years ago, I saw an immunologist and asked him to run a cytokine panel and explained my reasons why but he didn't despite testing for all sorts of other things. I didn't find him to be of much help with ME so didn't go back to see him again.

Now seeing a rheumatologist who is more interested in the autoimmune side of my illness but I have always been curious about the cytokine panel and wondered about just getting it done through a private lab one day.

Let me know of you decide to go ahead with this and what your results are - and I will too :)
