Not wholly appropriate to post here - but I can always add to a thread when the paper comes out:

ME/CFS Research Newcastle: 8am this morning: This is Julia Newton's team:

'Another paper accepted in a journal yesterday on memory and blood pressure regulation. Will upload a copy for information when it's finally published. Getting grants and papers is very important as an academic - it is the currency by which we are judged.
The MRC project is 1 year old with 1 year to go and we have recruited nearly 50% of the participants with 9 booked to be seen for screening. So we had a mini celebration yesterday. Some of the results are beginning to look very interesting and we are discussing submitting some of the data for presentation at a fatigue meeting in the US which takes place in March 2014.
Tomorrow we have a Fatigue Research meeting with researchers - this one is focussed in the muscle studies and we hope once we have looked at the results that will be ready to submit to a journal.'

It would be good if we could send somebody to this conference to write a review for Phoenix Rising. We could pay expenses and conference fees - if anybody's interested in covering this, please contact me, and if you can think of anybody suitable in the north-east who might be interested, please let them know.
