I have a good amount of knowledge on parasites (hosted a parasite forum (protozoa)I . Parasites come in many classes which present different meds, tri is specifically for fluke infection and I believe there is another drug that can target these.
One of the telltale signs is the presence of "rolled up tomato skins" in the stools (sorry for the graphic explanation). But other parasites can persist in the gut such as roundworms which are easily treatable. Protozoa (e.g. giardia, cryptosporidium, e. histolytica etc.) cannot be seen with the naked eye. In fact, there was an outbreak of crypto in Milwaukee that was the cause of "chronic fatigue syndrome".
Nematodes (roundworm) can show up in the stool and when they do, they present cylinder shapes with a tapered end. I got rid of them with a combination of neem, oil of oregano, myrrh and Boswellia. There is a prescription called Vermox that should kill them.

I believe that flukes are categorized as cestodes which includes tapeworms, there are several species of tapeworm. These (tapes) eject eggs that can be viewed with the naked eye (only worm that can display eggs), people report "white rice" in their stool which is actually the eggs. Again, sorry for the graphic explanation. Cestodes do require a different class of meds (tri) as opposed to nematodes (roundworm).
Hope this helps. (I knew several people that opted for the veterinary versions of the drugs. I purchased several prescriptions from an offshore Indian pharmacy which I cannot say was counterfeit or real. I purchased some from Mexican pharmacies which is legal btw. I felt better with this purchase (Mexican).
