A few general points to help you decide where to start:
- The genetics of a strain, combined with the grow envirnment = The type of marijuana. (Nature + Nurture)
- Cannabis is a full sun, annual plant. MJ that has been grown under sunlight is generally superior to indoor grown MJ, because the sun allows the plant to express its full genetic potential and chemotype. Ask for outdoor grown, organic MJ.
- Sativa strains are more stimulant, Indica strains are more narcotic. Most people will prefer sativa for increasing energy and doing creative hobbies, indica for muscle relaxation and zone out/sleep.
- CBD is inneffective for many people, most people respond well to MJ with a small amount of CBD and a reasonable amount of THC.
- Strains very high in THC and void of CBD generally cause more anxiety and other negative effects.
- Where mood is concerned, Mj seems generally good for deppression, and not so good for anxiety.
- Like anything, some people just respond badly to it, these people also seem to have a very low tolerence to it.
- If you eat MJ, it can be way more powerful and longer lasting than smoking it, be careful.
If you ever feel bad from smoking MJ, you can be assured the effects will have mellowed within 2-3 hours.
If you have eaten it, the effects may keep increasing for many hours, and you may not come down until the next day (similar to a full pshycadelic trip).
