The Call to Action campaign has shown writing can get the attention of people with real power to change things. But asking Mr. Collins to change the CDC or Dr. Frieden to change the NIH won't work -- it's like asking Bill Gates to change BP Oil Co. (wrong CEO, no can do!). But if we ask people to do what they can WITHIN their area of influence, who knows how fast things can change?
See lots of links here and elsewhere for ideas on what to write. And, for these busy people, less is generally more.
Here are the top people's contact info:
President Obama (why not start at the top? But probably need to wait until 11/3 or after.)

(it's a form to prevent spamming)
Secretary of Dept of Health and Human Service (ie, the health care big cheese):
Kathleen Sebelius
Kathleen.Sebelius@hhs.gov
Director of the CDC (entire agency, not just CFS research):
Thomas Frieden, MD, M.P.H.
Phone......: 404-639-7000
Fax........: 404-639-7111
E-mail.....: txf2@cdc.gov
Director of the NIH:
Francis Collins

E-mail Francis.Collins@nih.hhs.gov
