Question on Vaccines

I’ve read of vaccines causing adverse reactions to this of us with ME/CFS, well I have to get the Tdap vaccine for various reasons in the near future and was curious of people’s reaction to this, and if there is anything I can do to minimize the reaction.

thank you,

Before I did GcMAF I had a problem with high nagalase interfering with antibody production. I had EBV tests that went from pos to negative, was getting infected due to skin cuts and lost six teeth because past successful root canals were re-infecting. It was a nightmare. This makes me think that ME patients with high viral loads probably won't benefit from immunizations unless they treat with GcMAF to overcome the nagalase. However, a side effect of that was it triggered lupus for me so I needed to get treatment for that. According to my rheumatologist I have both ME and Lupus now.

Different people seem to have different reactions to vaccines. I had my Tdap last year and had no problem with it.

It wasn't a person specific thing for me. I used to have no problem with vaccinations then after EBV and HSV6 I was a wreck. GcMAF was able to get the immunity under control (now excess with lupus) and my function increased from 10% energy to about 50% of my energy with the apoptosis regimen. If I can recover from the chronic pain due to the apoptosis (burning from oxidation) I can probably start working part time. Fingers are crossed.

My ME was triggered by a vaccine but I’ve heard many people say they absolutely have to have the flu vaccine because if they catch flu They will be so much worse. If you absolutely HAVE to have it I would. It’s virtually impossible know if you would react badly unless you have prior evidence to suggest you might. Awful position to be stuck in though :(

It's possible that the vaccine could make your ME worse, and it's possible that it won't. It's possible that getting that strain would make your ME worse without having had the vaccine, or maybe the vaccine wouldn't have any effect on it. At this point, I think all the possibilities are about equal, so make your decision on some other factors. For me, flues were a minor inconvenience for a couple of days, so nothing I'd make an effort to get vaccinated for (with risk of side-effects). If flues tend to cripple you for weeks, then the vaccine sounds more valuable.

A DTaP vaccine was one of a few factors I suspect may have worsened my condition 6 years ago. I was also stressed out, and pushing my my physical limits.

I watched a video many years ago about the Gardasil vaccine. I don't have a solid personal opinion on the vaccine issue, but they claimed that the negative reactions to the Gardasil vaccine seemed to occur more often in physically fit athletic types that I would guess were pushing their physical limits too.

If I absolutely had to get another vaccine I would make sure I was really well rested and remained as stress-free as possible for a couple weeks before getting it.

This is very interesting @skwag I too was very physically fit, training as a competitive cyclist, but also under a lot of emotional stress. I had Also had a minor concussion About 3 or 4 months before the vaccine, which was for travelling abroad, typhoid and hep a I think it was.
