Thank you so much!!! You don’t happen to have a resource on how to fix the lack of Energy/ what this lack of energy is connected to, in CFS? Like, what causes us to not produce enough energy, any info on that?? That would be so amazing, Just energy production/storage in cfs, like what’s being “blocked” from producing the right amount of energy?
That is what Dr. Ron Davis and the team of researchers working with him are trying to figure out. There are some interesting hypotheses which will hopefully lead to treatment. Some is known: we have a lower blood volume than normal, OI means that we don't get enough of this blood to the brain, our mitochondria have functional problems in producing energy, our ability to use glucose as a source of energy is compromised (this is the usual source. More to come! Exciting times.

Oh wow, that’s amazing!! So fixing OI must be part of it, I shall look into mitochondria and glucose, I knew it there had to be something that was missing...I just hope to God that they find out soon... Energy is a huge point when it comes to this. :(

So fixing OI is one step, I shall look into mitochondria and glucose,
Actually once ME/CFS is "fixed," OI will be fixed. What we have now for OI are just bandaids.

Unless you are a professional in these areas you aren't likely to have much success as there is nothing published that isn't here on the forum. These researchers have devoted decades to their areas of research and they will let us know the minute that they have results. Most of us have tried supporting the mitochondria with supplements and get small boosts from this, but nothing major. (You'll find threads on this. As far as glucose, the Krebs cycle has a break in it so we will need help fixing that. Stay tuned the the threads on the Metabolic Trap, threads about Dr. Phair's research, Drl Mark Davis's research, Dr. Naviaux's research and trial of Suramin, Dr. Chris Armstrong's research (I've forgotten some of the others), but anything that is posted in this sub-forum: https://forums.phoenixrising.me/index.php?forums/latest-me-cfs-research.15/

There's also Vitalyte (previously known as Gookinaid).

This was recommended by Dr. Cheney years ago and the manufacturer ran a pilot trial in ME patients that reported positive results.

The concentration of electrolytes in Vitalyte is identical to the concentration of electrolytes in the blood. This helps the fluid to be absorbed by the body more efficiently than plain water, thereby increasing blood volume without altering blood electrolyte concentrations. It also contains the same concentration of glucose as is found in the blood.

It has a salty, metallic taste.

To better understand how increasing blood volume can alleviate orthostatic intolerance, see:
