Using AI is major brain intensive work for me. It's different than if I had to slog away at things the way I used to. But no less rigorous--possibly more rigorous in some ways. And the results are many times more efficient and better than my old way of doing things. It puzzles me that more people don't see the endless possibilities of AI to improve our lives in many ways.We learn by using our brain. if brain is used, it works better.

When I got sick 16 years ago, I turned into high gear with learning about health, neglected before, on many health forums. Perfect for my learning type, best within interactive communication and with first-hand experiences. Now I too would get impatient with waiting for at times not so perfect forum answers. I agree. Ask for sources! Check for hallucinations. Question it whenever it confirms your bias in the most self-critical way. That way only, your own thinking capabilities are shifted indeed into a higher gear.It all depends on how a person uses it.

Very much this. I came to engage with real people too. With the rise of AI here, I have already begun to disengage. I now just generally mine old posts, which are quite valuable. The interaction between people is quite beautiful. Now, when AI enters the chat, I leave.I can understand people's responses, because I don't like to see people posting AI articles myself. It comes across as lazy, and the information contained in AI articles is often shallow, and may contain factual errors.
Furthermore, when I am online, I want to engage with real people, not with machine output. So I understand why people do not want to read posts created by AI. Indeed, some forums have now banned AI articles, which I think is a good move.
