I've just crashed from studying too long :( and I have an exam on Monday this is going to be fun since I can't think... . Ironic that the more I study the worse I do.. trying to see the funny side.. :)
Don't know if it works for you, but amino acids/whey protein (and rest!) help me to recover from a crash. Best of luck to you on Monday @Lucy1996!

I can't believe I've never tried that... I'm going to get some today. Is there a particular one you'd recommend? Thank you :) ! X

It's something to play around with. For whey, I use Garden of Life grass fed. Otherwise I mix and match aminos, but normally include L-glutamine, L-citrulline, acetyl L-carnetine, L-ornithine, and creatine. L-arginine is great too, but difficult for some people with POTS.

ETA: also D-ribose.

Yes YesYes...this is me! I actually only get PEM from too much mental overstimulation/exertion. The worse things for me are long car trips...socializing...emotional stress...family get together....shopping....the list is long. Sometimes it happens quickly in the morning and sometimes not till afternoon.

I have fatigue sometimes the moment I get out of bed before I have done a thing. I just never know what each day will bring.

I have tried lots of supplements with no results. I am now taking Adrecore which I tried years ago but thought I would give it another try.

Hi
Does anyone crash mainly from mental exertion. I cannot socialise or I will fry. I can have one visitor for less than an hour. I can get PEM from trying to type an email. I limit physical activity as in do very little so I can manage PEM from that side. But the crashes from mental activity are awful. Anyone else in the same boat?

I think almost all of us cannot socialize. I did a poll... and I think 80% of us have this issue.

And yes... mental PEM seems to be worse than physical for me as well.

I just wanted to add. If you chat in an 'unengaged' manner... you can last longer. Kinda like the way you would chat with someone you see everyday, rather than someone you'd see at a party. Also, if you are in a 3 way conversation... you can last longer... assuming you are not carrying the conversation.
